Microwave Heating Systems
Microwave NZ builds and supplies microwave generators with a wide range of power levels, operating at one of the industrial, scientific and medical (ISM) frequencies (e.g., 2450 MHz, 915 MHz). These generators can be supplied as stand-alone units with flanged outputs or as turn-key systems with applicators for applying the microwave energy to the material to be processed.
Microwave NZ designs and builds microwave applicators to deliver microwave energy to the material to be heated (work load). Applicators for both batch and continuous processing can be supplied. Examples of applicators are: multi-moded cavities, "meander lines" (single- or multi-moded travelling wave structures), and resonant cavities.
Microwave NZ can design and supply waveguide transmission lines (e.g., straights, bends and twists) for connecting generators to applicators. MNZ also designs and supplies automatic and manual impedance matching networks or "tuners" for maximising power transfer as well as other passive waveguide components such as filters, splitters, power meters, directional couplers, water loads, and transitions (e.g., coaxial-line-to-rectangular waveguide, rectangular-to-circular waveguide).
